A quick look at Barack Obama's speeches and the reason he become president of the United States.

I do not usually navigate into politics — but after watching his latest speech — I am reminded of someone who I have not seen deliver such an inspirational speech since JFK or Martin Luther King. I know I’m from Australia, and my vote or opinion counts for nothing — but Barack is a very inspiring, encouraging and motivating man. Do the right thing America — if at the very least — do the right thing for the rest of the free world.

Some notable quotes:

Firstly:

It was a reminder to me, that ahh … boy life sure is short and you better … you better seize the moment.

Secondly:

It is that fundamental belief, I am my brothers keeper, I am my sisters keeper — that makes this country work. There is not a liberal America and a conservative America — there is The United States of America.

Thirdly:

I am reminded every single day, that I am not a perfect man. I will not be a perfect president. But I can promise you this — I will always tell you what I think and where I stand. I will always be honest with you about the challenges we face. I will listen to you when we disagree — and most importantly, I will open the doors of Government and ask you to be part of your own democracy again.

Without a doubt — it is my opinion that Barack Obama will bring the change that America, and indeed the world, needs.
